Web Viewer / Recent changes in Sketch Mode
« on: 28 October 2014 02:14 am »

Currently there is no possibility to show dark lines (edges) in WEBGL viewer using Sketch Mode. At the moment it is the limitation of our WEBGL viewer.

At the moment - no.
However maybe in future.
We will take in account such suggestion.

Thanks for the interest to Revizto!

Is there a reason why decals are not exporting to Revizto.  I used decals for pictures on my walls but the come in blank.  i also have mirrors but they do not show a reflections.  is there a way to fix this?

Next week we'll release new version where the first issue has been fixed for Revit 14 and 15.
Mirrors: Currently we don't plan realistic mirror reflextions for realtime render. For renderings of still images by ray tracing - maybe we'll make mirrrors better in future.

With version 2.2 being released this month is there an ETA on 2.3 being released

v 2.3 we are planing for release in June.
However most probably we'll implement this function more early, then we may release 3D connextions support in a separate update. Simply stay tuned.

Is there a future plan to make the 3D connexions product range work in Revizto as this would be very beneficial  when flying around in the model, and in general would just be cooler.
Cheers. Brad

Yes, we are working on it. We plan to get full support for 3D connexions devices in a version 2.3.
Export from Revit / How to recognize materials from revit
« on: 10 February 2014 12:49 am »
Thank you for kind words -) We are working hard to make Revzito the best collaboration tool. As for your question, reading custom materials especially for Revit 12, 13 is our secret source. -)
Features & Tools / dumb question - where'd my screenshot go?
« on: 22 December 2013 11:35 pm »
After you did screenshots or video using web player you need to synchronize your project. Simply press button  "Synchronize Project". Then your screen shots and video of this project will be visible on other devices or for other users.  From web player you can't save screenshots or video onto your hard disk.

Thanks Oleg.  I was just about to send it.  I await your update later.

Change the date - any except January 1 :).

probably we already found this issue.
Don't send us original model.
There are no corresponding sun-shadows only if' to set the date of January 1. Change the date, say, to January 2.
However we'll correct this minor issue in viewer.
Thank you very much for reporting such a bug!

I got the same result - sun position isn't the same in viewer using your model shared across the cloud.
It is strange because I tested today several other models from Revit to check this issue and wasn't able to repeat such result - always was correct and exactly corresponding between editor and viewer.
So, could you please share with us your original model? Say, to put on some ftp and give Alexey or me the link. Also tell us which version of Revit you are using to create this model - we will try to export this model from exact Revit version that to try to repeat such issue.

Answering your additional qiestions:

3. Where two walls are joined in Revit or SU there are some time occurs problematic zones for the mapping of light map textures. Better to make it in Revit as one wall. However, sometime increasing light map resolution (more is better = time is greater) is enough that such line between two walls (especially textures of one type on two different joined walls) will be less noticeable.  We are working over improvement in this direction as well.
 5. SSAO in viewer will create effect of ambient occlusion automatically even if it is set to zero in our editor.

Hi Jason,

Thank you very much for your thorough input.

1. To make shadows with sharp edges please don’t use Bake Sun Shadows function (uncheck this box in menu of editor. This function is also calculating the distribution of bounced and diffuse light )
2. To remove shadow frames around some objects in viewer, looking like ambient occlusion, please don’t use SSAO in graphics settings of the viewer.
3. To get better quality of light maps please use greater resolution of them (takes more time to calculate)

In addition to information above in menu of editor for calculation of light maps:
Ambient – it is additional highlighting in shadow zones.
Ambient occlusion range – it is the size of the “frame” behind or under the object, say, for example such as the picture frame on a wall, etc. Set it to zero if you don't like to use them (as well as in viewer - SSAO is Off).
